FAQ – Infrared Components & Manufacturing
What infrared components do you manufacture?
We manufacture IR Receivers, IR LEDs (TX), IR Transmitters, IR Photodiodes, and IR Phototransistors, supporting both signal transmission and detection applications.
What is the difference between an IR Receiver and PD/PT devices?
An IR Receiver outputs a processed digital signal. PD/PT devices only sense infrared light and require external circuits and logic.
When should an IR Receiver be used instead of a discrete TX + PD/PT design?
Use an IR Receiver when signal stability, interference resistance, and system consistency are required, especially in real-world environments.
Is receiving distance the key performance indicator?
Distance alone is not enough. Stable and repeatable performance under real operating conditions is what matters.
How does ambient light affect IR performance?
Sunlight and LED lighting can interfere with IR systems. Proper filtering and system design are essential for stable operation.
How do I choose between IR Photodiode and Phototransistor?
Photodiodes offer faster response and better linearity. Phototransistors provide higher sensitivity with simpler circuits.
Are you a manufacturer or a trading company?
We are a manufacturer, with unified control over development, production, and quality processes.
Why can samples pass but mass production fail?
Samples are tested under controlled conditions. Mass production introduces environmental and process variations that reveal hidden risks.
Can IR components be directly replaced by “compatible” models?
Not always. Differences in signal behavior and interference tolerance can affect system stability. Evaluation is recommended before substitution.
When is the best time to contact you during a project?
Before final component selection or mass production. Early evaluation helps reduce redesign and production risk.
